Some of our Scouts took part in a District fishing competition in June, where they were taught how to put a rod together, bait the hook and catch fish. It was a great success and everyone caught fish all through the sessions.

Last weekend, we went to Longridge Activity Center in Marlow for a weekend of water-based activities. We arrived on Friday evening and, after pitching our tents, we went climbing.
Saturday morning we all got into a bell boat, then after lunch we went kayaking. Finally, on Sunday morning we went Dragon Boating, before striking camp.

Last week, Doreen Sinclair sadly lost her fight with Cancer. The Sinclair family have been involved with 6th Bracknell Scouts since 1964 when Doreen, known as Raksha, took over as Akela. In 1977 she became GSL, finally retiring in 1984 after 20 years with the group.
Since that time, many members of the Sinclair family have been involved with 6th Bracknell Scouts and our thoughts and prayers are with them in this difficult time.
The funeral takes place on Monday 17th May, 10:30am at Easthampstead Crematorium.
